Annandale Honour RollPrint Page Print this page

The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.

It consists of three large polished wooden boards attached to the wall at the top of the staircase in the old Annandale Council Chambers, now the Annandale Neighbourhood Centre. Veterans' names are printed in gilt.

There was a large gathering at the Annandale Council Chambers this afternoon to participate in the ceremony of unveiling a Board of Honor to the men of Annandale who had enlisted for active service. The ceremony was performed by the Minister for the Navy (Mr.J.Cook) and among those present were the French Consul (M.Chayet), the American Consul (Mr. Bultrain), the Attorney-General (Mr.R.D. Hall), the Mayor of Annandale, Mr. E. Hogan, Mr. A. Griffith, and Messrs Sinclair, M.L.C., and O`Brian M.L.A.
