The roll of honour commemorates 46 Locoworks Machineshop railway employees who served in the World War One.

The roll is written in gilt, and accompanied by the year of enlistment, and arranged in three columns titled: Gallipoli; Palestine; Flanders; and encased behind a glass pane. It was produced by Machineshop staff, and was relocated after its closure in 1988.
