Bowen Boys State School Honour RollPrint Page 
The honour roll commemorates former students of the Bowen Boys State School who served in World War One.
The very fine marble honour roll is a representation of a Grecian temple decorated to represent Sicilan marble was created by Mr Cheffins an artist. The unveiling of the roll, which was placed in a new classroom at the school, was performed by the Mayor of Bowen in February 1919. The roll contains the names of seventy five past scholars of the school, 20 of whom have laid down their lives. It was stated that the honour board was the largest in a North Queensland School.
