Hobart High School Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll from the defunct Hobart High School commemorates former students who served in World War One. It lists 50 names. The roll was originally unveiled in 1917 with additional names being added at a later date.
There was a private Hobart High in the 19th century. The current Government School was founded in 1913 as Hobart High School, renamed Hobart High Matriculation College in 1965, Hobart Matriculation College in 1966 and subsequently Hobart College.
Note : The “Tasmanian War Memorials Data Base”, compiled by Fred Thornett which is located at the State Library of Tasmania, contains a comprehensive listing of the names on this honour roll.
