St Columba Presbyterian Church Roll of HonourPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those connected with the church who served in World War One. The roll lists the rank of the personnel at departure.
At the Devonport Presbyterian Church last night Rev. J. H. Dabb conducted the ceremony of unveiling a roll of honor to members who have volunteered for active service. There was a packed congregation, including some members of the 91st Infantry and a representative attendance of Senior Cadets, the latter under Lieut. F. Dransfield. Mr. Dabb said that they were met together to do honor to those who had gone to fight the battles of the nation. There should be some lasting memorial to those who were prepared to make the great sacrifice for King and country.
