Kwolyin Agricultural Area Roll of HonourPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates the 94 men from the district who served in World War One.
At a largely-attended meeting held at Kwolyin last Sunday it was unanimously decided to have a Honour Board prepared to perpetuate the memory of those who have the Kwoylin Agricultural Area to fight for King and Country since the outbreak of war. Discussion ensued as to the best means of raising funds for this purpose. It was eventually resolved to open a subscription list and to hold a Social and Jumble Sale on the evening of Saturday, June 30th.
The subscription list was opened at once, and a substantial amount was collected in the room. Mr. E. J Henderson generously offered to draw up designs for the Honor Board and submit them to a public meeting to be held on 10th inst. As the movement is a very worthy one, it is expected that almost every person in the Kwolyin area will contribute either in money or kind.
