Nungarin & District Roll of HonourPrint Page 

The honour roll commemorates those from the District who served in World War One.
Mr James Mitchell accompanied by the Member for the District , Mr. A. N. Piesse and several others including Mrs Mitchell motored from Kununoppin to Nungarin on the 12th May 1917 to take part in the unveiling ceremony of the roll of honour which was subscribed to and erected by the people of the district. During the afternoon the school children sang "Australia Will Be There" and "Red, White and Blue" . The West Australian (Perth), 17th May 1917.
