Moojebing State School Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates former students of the school who served in World War One.
A pleasant afternoon was held at the Moojebing State school on Friday, Dec. 21st, when parents and friends of the children met to assist with their annual picnic and sports. In the afternoon sports events were held for the school children and a few events for all-comers, and at four o'clock Mr Nadebaum called on Mr Garstone to present the prizes won at school to the successful students.
Following this an address by Mr Garstone on the war was much appreciated, and Mrs Smith, who has two sons at the front was then asked to unveil the magnificent honor board for those soldiers at the front who had attended the Moojebing school. The proceedings terminated by the teacher proposing a vote of thanks to Mrs Smith and Mr Garstone for kindly unveiling the honor board and presenting the prizes. The National Anthem was sung by all present and three rousing cheers given for our king and the soldiers. Light refreshments were then partaken of.
