A pressed and moulded ornately decorated copper plaque set on a jarrah base commemorates those who served in World War One. 

On Wednesday last the official unveiling look place of the honor board erected in Highbury Hall by the residents of the district. The work is carried out in hammered copper on a jarrah frame. Apologies were received from Mr. E. B. Johnston, M.L.A., and Mr. W. Graham. The speakers were the Mayor of Narrogin (Dr Mackie), Mr. Lavater (secretary Narrogin Road Board), Mr. W. Glasheen, of Harrismith, and Mr. Stewart, father of Private Stewart who was fortunate enough to escape from the German lines. Mr. Giddings, as chairman of the Honor Roll Committee, presided.

The proceedings opened with the singing of the National Anthem, Mrs. Swan presiding at the piano, after which Mr. A. Giddings, in welcoming the visitors, explained that there were 47 names on the roll, of whom 8 had made the supreme sacrifice. He then called on Mrs. Ferguson who has three brothers and her husband at the front, to unveil the Honor Roll. The speakers all spoke highly of the patriotism of the Highbury people in erecting the board in honor of those who had volunteered and been accepted for active service. A vote of thanks to the speakers was proposed by Mr. H. Swan.
