Soldiers Memorial Gardens : 12-December-2012
Photographs supplied by Roger Johnson
The gardens commemorate those from Prospect who died in service or were killed in action in World War One. A Memorial Arch stands at the entrance to the gardens.
A sub-committee was appointed by the the Prospect City Council at its last meeting to make arrangements for the opening of a memorial archway at the new soldiers' gardens near the Prospect Oval. It is expected that the ceremony will be held on Armistice Day. The reserve has been beautified by the council to commemorate the valor of war heroes.
