Prospect Roll of HonourPrint Page
Two wooden honour rolls commemorate those from the District who served in World War One.
On Sunday at 3 p.m. His Excellency, the Governor will perform the unveiling ceremony on the Prospect Recreation Ground. The roll of honour consists of two beautifully made and polished walnut boards with Queensland maple framing. The names, which number 775, are printed in gold letters. After the unveiling it is proposed to have the honour rolls placed on the walls of the district hall. A souvenir programme has been prepared for the occasion, which can be obtained on the grounds.
