The honour roll commemorates residents from South Melbourne who served in World War One.
The Draft of the names to appear, on the Honor Roll at the Town Hall is now completed, and is on view at the Town Clerk's Office during the day and the Library at night. It contains the names of those who were resident in South Melbourne at the time of their enlistment, and is taken from the list of those who have applied for the Council's Certificates. The List will be open for 1 month from this date, and Citizens are asked to inspect it and see that the names of their relatives are properly enrolled.

From the private secretary to the Governor, the Mayor (Cr. T. Craine) has received a letter stating that, in response to the Council's invitation, the Earl of Stradbroke will unveil the honor board in the South Melbourne Town Hall at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14.
