The War Memorial Hall and Club Room were built as a memorial to those members of the church who lost their lives in the Great War. The foundation stone was laid on 18th September 1920.
SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL HALL FETE. In connection with the building in course of erection at St. Thomas's Church of England, Moonee Ponds, in memory of 45 men of the church who were killed in the great war, a fete is to be held this afternoon and evening in the Grammar School grounds adjoining the church.
