Carrajung Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.
There was a large attendange at the impressive ceremony of unveiling the Honor Board in the mechanics' hall, Carrajung, on Wednesday evening. Mr Somers presided, and the Hon T. Livingston made a fine address in which he expressed admiration for the bravery of Carrajung boys; and sympathy for those parents who had sustained losses, and the soldiers who had been wounded.
A short concert programme was gone through, after which there were a number of dances. It was a very telling gathering. There are 29 names on the board, four have made the supreme sacrifice, including Lieut B. F. Nicholas, formerly State school teacher here. Pte G. T. O'Connor was awarded the Military Medal.
