The monument commemorates those from Campbellfield and District who served in World War One.
The State Commandant (Brigadier-General C.H. Brand) unveiled a soldiers' memorial at Campbellfield on Saturday. The memorial, which is of Stawell granite, is erected in the recreation reserve, and bears the names of 37 soldiers who enlisted from Campbellfield, of whom six fell in the war. After the unveiling of the memorial a number of medals were presented to returned soldiers by Councillor Gibb.
