Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Waterfall Roll of HonourPrint Page
The marble honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
Last Saturday there was a big gathering of residents from Waterfall and Helensburgh to witness the unveiling of an Honor Board erected on the Waterfall Railway Station. The gathering was presided over by Councillor Boyle. Mr. Ley, M.L.A., welcomed the Dean of Sydney, who, after unveiling the Honor Board, delivered a stirring address. He was followed by the Rev. Mr. Smee. Before the proceedings there was a procession of school children to the station and they rendered patriotic songs in fine style. Afternoon tea was afterwards served to the visitors by Mrs. King at her house.
