The wooden honour roll commemorates former students of the Blowering School and those from the District who served in World War One.

The roll was originally to be unveiled by Mrs Ryan, mother of Victoria Cross recipient Private Jack Ryan (a former pupil of the school) on the 11th August 1920. Owing to the illness of Mrs Ryan, the roll was not unveiled until the 5th September 1920.

BLOWERING. The Honor Board Committee met on Saturday last, Mr. N. Crook in the chair. The balance sheet of dance showed a credit of £25. The Honor Roll unveiling is to take place on August 11 by Mrs M. Ryan. It contains 43 names, including one V.C, two M.M.'s and five officers, all expupils of the Blowering School. A monster picnic is to be held. (Bring a basket, no charge is to be made). The Clergy, Shire and Municipal bodies, Soldiers' League and press are to be invited. A dance takes place at night, the funds to go to J. V. Harris' benefit fund, a deserving case, the soldier having lost one leg and is a solid worker, being constitutionally unfit and needy.
