Sans Souci Public School Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates former pupils of the school who served in World War One.
Now that the war is over and our fighting heroes are making a victorious return, it has been thought advisable by many of our local citizens that the time is ripe for the erection of honor rolls that the names and deeds of those who have fought for our deliverance from a cruel and persecuting enemy may never be forgotten. At the Sandringham (Sans Souci) Public School last Saturday afternoon, Mr James, Minister for Public Instruction, at the invitation of the local Parents and Citizens' Association, performed the solemn ceremony of unveiling the honor roll for that school, in the presence of a large assembly.
The honor board is of carved and polished maple, and carries a list of eighty names, fourteen of whom have paid the supreme penalty.
