Hurlstone Park War MemorialPrint Page
The Hurlstone Park War Memorial commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
A column of Australian grey granite which has been erected as a soldiers' memorial at Hurlstone Park, was unveiled in the presence of a large gathering yesterday afternoon by Mr. J W Keir, secretary of the local Soldiers and Sailors Welfare Association. The column is of beautiful workmanship, stands 20 feet high, and is inscribed with 160 names. Mr. Arkins, M.L.A., addressed the gathering. After the ceremony 1000 children were entertained at a picture show, and provided with refreshments.
