Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

St Peter`s Church Honour RollPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates those connected with the church who served in World War One.
At the evening service at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hamilton, yesterday, there were unveiled an honour roll of 125 names, and to the memory of the late Gunner M. Harrie Carr-Boyd, a memorial tablet. The tablet was unveiled first. The roll of honour is the gift of the Bennett family. The carving, which is beautifully done, is the work of Miss Grace Bennett, assisted by her father, Mr. William Bennett.
Of those whose names appear on the roll, 20 have given their lives. Canon Ramm in calling on Mrs. Dunlop to unveil the roll of those whose names appeared thereon, had all at one time or another been connected with St. Peter's Church, Hamilton. Many of them he had known since boyhood.
