Gladesville Christ Church War Memorial GatesPrint Page
The gates commemorate those from the District who served in World War One. The gates were unveiled by the Governor General (Lord Stonehaven) on the 26th April 1926 with an additonal ceremony being held in September 1926.
Archdeacon Charlton yesterday morning dedicated the completed memorial gates and wall at Christ Church, Gladesville. The gates, which bear the names of soldiers from the district who served in the war, were unveiled by the Governor-General (Lord Stonehaven) some time ago, and since that time the wall round the church has been completed. Two additional tablets containing further names, have been added to the gates.
