The War Memorial commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
Saturday last was a red letter day for Emu Plains, the occasion being the unveiling of the Soldiers' Memorial in the local park. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Major General Cox. V.D. D.S.O., who was accompanied by Mrs. Cox, in the presence of about 500 spectators including many visitors. The memorial is of "obelisk" or " spire" design and is executed in polished trachyte.
