Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially. In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Emu Plains Honour Roll Print Page

The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.
Empire Day is to be a Red Letter Day in connection with our local school. In addition to the usual school functions prescribed by the Department, there will be a children's picnic and the Roll of Honor of Emu Plain residents who have enlisted in the service of their King and Country. The Parents and Citizens' Association has been fortunate enough to arrange with Mr H C Budden, War Chest Commissioner, to perform the unveiling ceremony. Mr Budden is the gentleman of the hour just now so far as functions of this character are concerned, and our little centre has reason to be proud of securing his presence. The unveiling ceremony will take place about 3.15 p.m.
