Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Cobar Methodist Church Roll of HonourPrint Page

The roll of honour commemorates those from the Methodist Church who served in World War One.
COBAR HONOUR ROLL. (To the Editor.) Sir, — May I encroach upon your valuable space to bring the matter of an honour roll before the notice of one-time members of the Cobar Church. Although somewhat belated, we have decided to place a roll of honour in the Cobar Church of men who went to the Great War. Owing to the large number of removals from this town during the last decade, it is difficult to get the information required.
I would be glad, then, if one-time members of the church here would write to me as early as possible, giving full particulars (rank, name, etc.) of any men who enlisted from the Methodist Church or Sunday School at Cobar. We do not desire to over look any whose names should thus be held in remembrance. — Yours, etc., GORDON G. WOOD. The Parsonage, Cobar.
The Methodist (Sydney, NSW), 9 February 1929.
