Bungwahl Roll of HonourPrint Page
The roll of honour commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
Friday last was an eventful day at the Lakeside village of Bungwahl. There was a large attendance at the School of Arts, when the ceremony of unveiling a Roll of Honor, which contained the names of 32 natives of the district, who had answered their country's call. The Hon. Walter Bennett, Member for the district, congratulated the people of Bungwahl and district for having done honor to their brave soldier boys by perpetuating their names on a roll of honor. Mr Bennett unveiled the Honor Roll amidst cheers, and said he wished the boys a speedy and safe return, and that they may live long, honored and respected by a grateful country.
