Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Barrier District No 12 M.U.I.O.O.F. Roll of HonourPrint Page

The wooden roll of honour commemorates members of the Barrier District No 12 M.U.I.O.O.F. Lodge who served in World War One.
Note: The Barrier District M.U.I.O.O.F. unveiled a roll of honour in Tait`s Hall on the 18th October 1916 (Barrier Miner, Broken Hill 19 October 1916). This roll contained 61 names. However the names listed in order on the roll in the newspaper article do not correspond with the order of the names on the roll of honour listed. It is unknown if the listed roll is the original roll with additional names added. This roll contains 70 names.
