Nerrigundah Roll of HonourPrint Page
07-March-2016
Photographs supplied by Peter F Williams
The framed photograph of the original roll commemorates those from Nerrigundah who served in World War One. The framed copy is kept in the foyer of the Bodalla Hall.
The original marble slab of this honour roll was hung in the School of Arts at Nerrigundah, near to the Miles O'Grady Monument and unveiled on the 8th June 1917. With the decline of the township the roll of honour was placed for safe keeping in a store room at the local school, from where it disappeared sometime before 1933.
