Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

St John`s Anglican Church Honour RollPrint Page

The honour roll commemorates members of the church who served in World War One.
A most interesting and impressive service was held in St. John's Church, Beecroft, on June 5th, on the occasion of the unveiling of the Roll of Honor, which contains the names of 66 men and one nurse who were engaged on active service during the late war. In the absence of the Rev. J. Young, who is seriously ill, the service was conducted by Rev. T. Terry, assisted by the Ven. Archdeacon Harris, and the Rev. J. F. Chapple. The church was packed by some hundreds of parishioners and friends and the singing was both hearty and reverent.
