The plaque commemorates the Centenary of Armistice and those from the district who served in World War One. 

Funding of $3668 was received in 2018 through the Armistice Centenary Program for the installation of the plaque and unveiling and a commemorative booklet.

Front Inscription
The signing of the Armistice in Compiegne, France,
between the Allies and Germany, officially ended 
the First World War on the eleventh hour, of the 
eleventh day, of the eleventh month 1918.

All across the western front the guns fell silent.

The First World War was finally over after four
years of unimaginable bloodshed and destruction.

In commemoration of the Centenary of Armistice we
honour and remember those from Officer and the
surrounding district that proudly served their country
