The memorial consists of a series of plaques which tell the story of the New South Wales Light Horse Regiments who served during World War One.
The memorial contains a Lone Pine with an accompanying plaque on a sandstone base, and a series of six plaques also mounted on sandstone bases. It is located in Bicentennial Park in Tamworth, along a walkway leading to the Tamworth Waler Memorial.
