St George`s Anglican Church Memorial ScreenPrint Page
The chancel screen commemorates the altar servers and other worshippers of the church who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.
At St. Peter's Cathedral on Tuesday morning there was a special celebration of Holy Communion. At St. George's, Goodwood, the chancel screen erected in memory of the altar servers and other communicants of the church, who had given their lives in the war, was blessed by the rector (Rev. Canon Wise) at 11 o clock, when a requiem service took place.

In honour of Our Lady, Blessed Michael the Archangel, Blessed George the Martyr and of all the Blessed Saints.
To the dear memory of all those who went forth from this Altar, where they offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Body and Blood of Christ, to give their lives in the Great War.
This screen is blessed on ANZAC Day 25 April 1922 being the Feast of Saint Mark the Evangelist.
