Mental Hospital Parramatta Roll of HonourPrint Page
The marble honour roll commemorates former staff of the hospital who served in World War One.
The staff of the Parramatta Mental Hospital was well represented at the war. No fewer than four of the medical staff, as well as the matron, Miss Winifred Tait, were on active service. To welcome home all those who returned, a dance and social evening will be held in the Recreation Hall and its adjoining lawns at the hospital on April 29 when the Rev. Hillhouse Taylor, Church of England chaplain to the hospital, will unveil an honor roll, which has been erected by the staff. The roll will be hung in the vestibule of the managerial department of the hospital.
