This memorial was dedicated on 25th April, 2015, acknowledging the residents and former residents of the Shire of Maldon who answered the call to arms for the defence of the Empire.
Soldiers, doctors, nurses and Ministers of Religion enlisted.
The soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice are buried at sea, in no known graves, and War Grave Cemeteries in
Egypt, Turkey, Belgium, France and England.
Those returning to be with their families are now at rest in their home land.
