Elliminyt Hall Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.
There was a good gathering at the Elliminyt Public Hall on Saturday evening, when the Honor Roll of those who have enlisted from Elliminyt and district was unveiled by Mr J. G. Johnstone, M.L.A. Mr. T. Harris, president of the Elliminyt Progress Association, who presided, explained that it was quite possible that there might he more names to add to the list, and he asked that anyone who knew of any names which were omitted, would communicate with the committee.
Mr J. G. Johnstone, M.L.A., said he appreciated the honor conferred on him in asking him to unveil the roll. He had been asked to do many things, but he appreciated his duty that evening as the highest he had yet been called upon to perform. The Honor Roll was designed by Mr Arthur Jane and was most artistically executed. Flags of the Empire stood out in bold relief over the words "Elliminyt and District Honor Roll."
