The brass and wooden honour roll commemorates those from the District who served in World War One.
Blackall. The War Memorial Committee has decided to ask the Governor-General to unveil the district honour board in the Town Hall during his visit here.

The Governor-General and his good lady will spend one solitary hour in Blackall. The Vice-Regal Party will put in the night of August 22-23, after their arrival from Barcaldine at Alice Downs and will visit Blackall at 10 o'clock on Wednesday, 23rd. They will be received by the Mayor and his Excellency will unveil a War Memorial Honor Board. At 11 o'clock he leaves for Tambo, arriving at about 2.30 p.m., and will then proceed to Lansdowne station.
