Soldiers Memorial WindowPrint Page
The stained glass window commemorates those connected with the church who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.
There is always a vase of white flowers in this window as a sign of respect.
August 14.— Violet day was observed at the Cherry Gardens Methodist Church on Sunday, and various members of the congregation placed bunches of violets in the soldiers' memorial window. Mr. H. Strange delivered an address on "Service and Sacrifice." During the service special hymns were sung.
