Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially. In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Glenella State School Honour Roll Print Page

The honour roll commemorates former students of the school who served in World War One.
Glenella. The local school celebrated its breaking-up with the usual picnic, sports and prize distribution. There was a record attendance of parents and friends, which perhaps was due to the unveiling of the school honour board. Mr. L. Cameron (Chairman of the Committee) presided, and the Rev. F. L. Ash, who was present by invitation, gave a suitable address. The honour of unveiling the board was bestowed upon Mrs. Kinnon, senr., Mrs. Kinnon, junr., the mother and widow respectively of the late Private R. R. Kinnon. The board contains 39 names, and is a credit to all concerned.
Daily Mercury (Mackay, Qld.), 31 December 1920.
