Werribee Honour Roll Print Page
The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One. The roll contains approximately 380 names, including two nurses and was unveiled in 1920, the same day as the war memorial.
This honour roll was originally located at the Wyndham Council offices before being moved to the Werribee RSL.
Werribee Honor Roll Unveiled.
Brigadier-General C. H. Brand, State Commandant. unveiled the district honor roll, containing 380 names, and the memorial erected in the township to perpetuate the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the war. The memorial, which is of grey granite, contains 60 names. It cost £600, all subscribed in the district.
