The wooden honour roll commemorates members of the Hamilton Scottish Pipe Band who served in World War One.

An honor tablet, containing 33 names of matrons, sisters and nurses, and 1 medical officer from the local hospital, who served in the war, was unveiled at the institution on Thursday afternoon by Mrs. K. S. Bree, widow of a former president. On Thursday evening the honor roll of the Scottish Pipe Band, on which there are 30 names, was unveiled by the president, Mr. A. M'Donald.
