Wanbi Roll of HonourPrint Page
The photographic honour roll commemorates those from Wanbi who served in World War One.
A large gathering of local residents assembled for the unveiling ot the Wanbi Roll of Honour on December 20. Mr. W. H. Arney, chairman of the W.S.C., introduced Mr. P. McMillan, M.P., who performed the unveiling, and whose remarks were listened to with interest. After unveiling the roll Mr. McMillan called for two minutes silence, after which the Song of Australia was sung, followed by the hymn "Lest we Forget" and the National Anthem. The overture was played by Mrs.E. D. Paterson, and the accompanments by Mrs. E. Morcombe. Recitations were given by Mrs. Bennet, Mr. Huinig and Miss Lake.
