Henty Roll of HonourPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
The roll consists of a map of Australia with an honour board in the centre. Surrounding the roll are photographs of some of those who enlisted. The roll was presented by Mr C. Haberecht.
There was a large and enthusiastic gathering at the School of Arts on the occasion of the unveiling of a roll of honour on which is inscribed the names of the Henty district volunteers. The board, a handsome design, was presented by Mr. C. F. Haberecht, and his good wife performed the unveiling ceremony, while the assemblage sang the National Anthem. Mr. T. E. Selk, president of the School of Arts, presided, and addresses were given by Rev. Canon. Bevan and Mr. H. W. Smith, principal of the public school.
