The plaque commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.
In the Soldiers' Memorial Hall, Macalister-street a tablet, in memory of the soldiers from Walkerston district who gave their lives for their country in the Great War, subscribed for by Walkerston residents, will be unveiled tonight (Monday), by the Premier, Mr. W. Forgan Smith. A committee, under the chairmanship ot Mr. B. Clarke, is responsible for this mark of recognition; and it is expected there will be a good response to the invitations issued to attend the ceremony.
