Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially. In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Montagu Roll of HonourPrint Page

The wooden roll of honour commemorates those who served in World War One.
The heavy machine gun granted to Montagu will be formally handed over on Friday 23rd April, and it is intended to unveil the school Honor Roll at the same time. It was intended to hold this ceremony on Anzac Day,but owing to the Smithton fixtures it was felt that the above date would be more suitable.
