Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially. In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Milawa & District Honour RollPrint Page

The marble honour roll commemorates those from the District who served in World War One.
An honour roll to the memory of those who enlisted from the Milawa district was unveiled at the Milawa Library Hall by Colonel W. H. Scott. The roll consists of three large marble slabs, and contains the names of 57 soldiers, 15 of whom were killed. The proportion of killed is thought to be the highest of any district in the State.
