World War One Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.
Note : Names on the roll are men who enlisted from the Sale District but the identity of the roll is unknown.
The Names on the Honour Rolls were researched by the Publicity Officer of the RSL & Sale Club and show that the men had enlisted from the Sale District.
Further Information supplied by Ross Jackson states that the Honour Rolls have a history where they are located. Prior to the RSL and Sale Club formation, the place was known as the Sale Club, before that it was called the Gentlemen's Club an exclusive drinking establishment for the men of Sale. The honour rolls belong to the Gentlemen's Club era and although have changed position, are in their original location.
