"Lest We Forget"
2 Sqn formed 20 Sep 1916 the only AFC / RAAF Sqn to engage in four major wars. Served in WWI on the Western Front, France; WWII in Darwin; the Dutch East Indies & Borneo Malaya Emergency and the Vietnam War.
WWII awarded the United States Presidential Unit Citation.
Vietnam War awarded the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry & United States Air Force Outstanding Unit Commendation, making it the most highly decorated Squadron in the RAAF.
