The ANZAC Memorial Club was erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World Wars One and Two.

On the 5th November 1944, the Ayr Sub Branch of the R.S.S.A.I.L.A decided to proceed with plans for the construction of a new club room ay Ayr and has set £6000 as its target. The new building will be known as the Anzac Memorial Club. At the main entrance will be the Memorial Area with the Roll of Honour, photographs of residents who had paid the supreme sacrifice, war relics and other memorial objects.
