Millmerran War MemorialPrint Page
A tiered sandstone monument was erected by the Millmerran Shire Council to commemorate those who enlisted from the District to participate in World War One.
Marble plaques carry the names of twenty-eight who died in World War One, and the twenty-four who died in World War Two. Names of those who enlisted fill up the other plaques, and also honour those who served in Malaya, Korea and Vietnam, including one killed.
The soldiers' monument, which has been erected by the Millmerran Council, and situated within the Memorial park in that town, will be unveiled about midday on Saturday next. It is hoped by the Council that there will be a large attendance.
