Eagle Junction State School Memorial LibraryPrint Page
The library commemorates those who served in World War One and World War Two.
The library was designed by architect Mr R. Ashley Shaw. Two classrooms in the original school were remodelled for its construction. A stained glass memorial window was included and was made by Leadlights Pty Ltd. Mr Justice Mansfield officially opened the library on 21 May 1949.
The beautiful stained glass window, measuring 6 ft. 3 in. by 3 ft., will soon be erected in the Eagle Junction State School Memorial Library as a tribute to past students who served in both World Wars. Designed by Mr. R. Myles, of Leadlights Pty. Ltd., it contains approximately 1,500 separate pieces of glass.
