The hall was erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World Wars One and Two. The memorial plaque placed in the foyer of the hall commemorates four soldiers.

The Sulphur Creek Memorial Hall is expected to be finished within three months. The hall has so far cost more than £4000, and the total cost will exceed £5000.  The memorial plaque bearing the names of the four Sulphur Creek men who died in the two world wars will be placed in the foyer.
